Men Making Change
The Men Making Change program was established in 1989 and has assisted over 1800 men and their partners. The program consists of 15-20 weekly sessions, and run on monday evenings between 7pm & 9pm.
This program is for any man:
- Who wants to stop hurting his loved one/s;
- Who wants to stop lashing out, controlling or manipulating;
- Who is prepared to learn new ways to express himself;
- Who is after a better way of life for his partner, family and himself.
To help men identify, understand, and take responsibility for their behaviour, attitudes and emotional reactions.
To provide support and strategies that help men through their crisis of change from abusive behaviour to non-abusive behaviour.
To contribute to an improved safety situation for family members and encourage men to treat women and children with respect and equality.
Can you use this service?
The Men Making Change Program ise available to men who work, live or study in the Cities of Whitehorse or Manningham. We prioritise our services for people on low-medium incomes and holders of Health Care or Pension cards.
To join this program an individual assessment for suitability for the program is needed.
