Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is supervised by a physiotherapist. Water buoyancy partially suspends the body, allowing support for weak muscles and painful limbs. Water resistance then provides feedback for strengthening muscles. Warm water will induce relaxation and pain relief.

Hydrotherapy is a form of physical therapy treatment conducted in a heated swimming pool, and tailored to individual needs. Water buoyancy partially suspends the body, allowing you to:

  • Strengthen weak muscles;
  • Support painful joints;
  • Relieve pain;
  • Improve general fitness and
  • Improve balance and co-ordination
  • Non-swimmers can participate in hydrotherapy.

    Sessions are held every Friday from 3pm - 4pm
