Volunteering

Volunteering is an important avenue for community participation at Whitehorse Community Health Service. It provides an opportunity for community members to contribute meaningfully to our work and have a voice in the practice of our organization.

Volunteering at WCHS offers an opportunity to become involved in the community, meet other people and make a positive contribution. It is a means of enhancing specific skills and talents, personal development and self-esteem.

How can I volunteer at WCHS?

At present volunteers at WCHS are involved with our Men’s Shed Program and we also have volunteer drivers and planners of social outings and shopping trips for residents at Eastbridge Housing Estate.

There are long term and short term volunteer roles at WCHS.  To find out if there are current volunteer vacancies click here to go to our careers page.

How can I find about volunteering in the local area?

WCHS uses Victoria’s volunteering portal – www.volunteer.vic.gov.au to promote volunteering opportunities at our organisation, as well as this web site.
